MEASUREMENT

HOW TO MEASURE A WHEEL

Measuring your wheel can be confusing so we've created a printable wheel measurement guide to help you out.  Please click the button below to download the PDF and print out our guide.  Fill out the information in the downloaded form and it will help us provide you with the wheel you need.

GUIDE DETAILS

Wheel type: Is your wheel designed to accommodate a single tire, or a dual tire or is a multi-piece base?

Tire size: The size of your tire is a series of numbers on the tire, just below the Manufacturer’s name. For example 425/80-25. This means the tire has a relative width of 425, a relative wall height of 80, and wheel diameter of 25.

Number of Bolt Holes: The number of holes on your wheel.

Bolt Hole Type: Are the Bolt Holes Hub Piloted (straight) or Stud Piloted (beveled)? If Stud Piloted (also referred to as Budd Style), which side(s) is it beveled on? See Figure 1.

Bolt Hole Diameter: Measure across the center of one Bolt Hole. See Figure 1 - (Hole Diameter).

Ballseat / Countersink Diameter: Only Applicable If Stud Piloted. Measure across the center of the bevel. See Figure 1 - (Ballseat / CSK’ Diameter).

Bolt Circle: Measure the distance from the Inside Edge of one bolt hole, to the Outside Edge of the bolt directly opposite (such as from 12 to 6 on a clock). See Figure 2.A.

Pilot Inner Diameter: Measure the distance across the center of the Pilot. See Figure 2.B

Back Space: Measure the distance from the back of the disc to the back plane of the wheel. See Figure 3.

Disc Thickness: Measure the thickness of the disc itself. See Figure 3.

Disc Type: Is the disk a Flat Plate, or is it a Formed Disc (Bent / Curved)? See Figure 3.
